  Glucan triacetate (1→3-α-glucan triacetate)

Linkage : alpha 1-3

Space Group : monoclinic P21

Unit Cell Dimensions (a, b, c in Å and α, β, γ in °)

(No values are displayed if no information is available or the value is zero)

a (Å) = 30.17 - b (Å) = 17.42 - c (Å) = 12.11

Helix Type : left-handed, three-fold helix. Six molecular chains pass through the unit cell with alternating polarity and with three independent chains comprising the asymmetric unit. The chain axes are located in a hexagonal packing arrangement.

Method(s) Used For Structure Determination : X-ray diffraction and stereochemical model refinement
